Split-cut masonry stone (2 x cut) is a newer interesting alternative to the well-known and long-used rough-split masonry stone. This product is manufactured in a fully automated process, and the modern technologies used in it result in high quality and repeatable dimensions while avoiding wedge marks. The use of such stone makes it possible to leave relatively narrow gap lines in the masonry and to erect walls or fences more quickly and easily. Depending on the customer’s preference and needs, the split-cut stone can have two or four sides cut, the other sides rough-split. In addition – at the customer’s request – it is possible to finish the fronts using the so-called ‘sandstoning’ method. This method involves manually reflecting a selected surface with a specially designed tool, resulting in a unique stone appearance similar to natural rock. Split-cut stone is used as a material for fences, retaining walls and small forms of garden architecture.
